With various lidar and sonar systems surrounding vehicle and variable 360 thrusters, the rover can actively turn away from impacts. Even steering in a different direction from tandem thrusters to avoid collision first, or accelerate away . The vehicle can instantly avoid incoming side impact at city intersections by shifting its body from forward motion to diagonal or lateral motion as much as possible to reduce impact. While sensors on the opposite side of the rover help calculate if objects on its side are more important to avoid and balance thrust accordingly.
