3D Spacemouse

3dconnexion Compact

Within a year I’ve gone from drawing notebook sketches, to building scale models, to drawing tablets and now 3D modeling. The 3D design product I’m hunting next is a 3D mouse. I’m far behind and everything I want to do so I’m always looking for efficiency. I like as many things to be on automatic as possible and utilizing muscle memory of one of my best tools. I don’t have any schooling or training other than a strong thirst for knowledge, strong research skills, creativity and an unreal will to see this vehicle built. I knew learning to design in 3D would be hard for me, so like any other challenge I face, I look for the easiest way to take it on.

3Dconnexion Spacemouse

I love combining tools to suit my needs and after stumbling upon the medium sized Spacemouse Pro 3dconnexion offers, I was sure this was what I needed. I’ve seen usefulness in each of their models but the Spacemouse Compact  seems to be the better ergonomic fit. Every toy I fall in love with, I always consider a secondary use for it to avoid buyers remorse. Being of limited resources makes some decisions easy but sometimes you find things that are so perfect for one job that you look no further. This has the control and precision I need for a solid 3D designing foundation. And the most important feature, it’s easier to use laying on the couch.
